I would like to welcome all guests from near and far, especially all those for-mations and soloists that will again make their contribution and turn our Dresden into a metropolis of Oldtime Jazz at the 43rd International Dixieland Festival.

Variety, continuity and quality create the international reputation of the Dresden Festival. You can experience an enthu-siastic and passionate audience in the pictorial setting of the City of Dresden and therefore a unique atmosphere which provides both musicians and guests a one-of-a-kind enjoyment every year anew. Special thanks go to the more than 200 volunteers as well as the spon- sors and supporters who are invaluable to the festival. I wish all musicians and friends of jazz a „swinging“ festival and a great time in Dresden.
